Roederer-Champagne-Estate-Brut
Roederer Sparkling Wine Review from Anderson Valley,  California
It’s true that fine winemaking that has made Roederer Champagne among the most sought-after in the world. While many might of heard of Louis Roederer Cristal Champagne even if only be mention in the celebrity tabloids; my experience has previously been with the 1999 Lâ Ermitage Rose. Roederer Estate’s second vintage of this special cuvee made its debut and was a favorite when served to customers on the patio during my fine dining career at Terrapin. Remembering that fine pink bubbly, I was happy to find the Estate Brut waiting for me.
Never Disappointing; Roederer Champagne
I had the bottle of Roederer Estate Brut waiting on ice. My husband was returning form a trip and I was waiting for him to come back from the airport. It seemed like a nice wifely touch to welcome him home. Since, I am also planning on serving this wine before Thanksgiving dinner, I felt it was good to get acquainted anyway! The Roederer Estate Brut is crisp and elegant as one would expect.  The color is a medium-light to light, yellow-gold hue.  For me, it had a pretty strong apple aroma and taste as well. More subtle, I found the pear, spice and hazelnut flavors I was looking for. On the palate the fruit really shines, with fresh apples, a touch of pear, and more hints of citrus and yeast along with a slight mineral note. It was perfectly toned; not too brut, but never sweet; just flavorful savory apple goodness with medium-light body. The above average acidity keeps this racy in the mouth, plus the many tiny bubbles, just kept the popping. The Roederer Estate Brut Sparkling Wine is always  a great sparkling wine and is certainly still the best available especially now with the a sale price of $15.00!
